The Writing Process Blog Tour has stopped in my neighborhood.
Thank you to my good friend Christy Birmingham at http://poeticparfait.com and http://whenwomeninspire.com for inviting me to chat about my writing process.
The questions are:
What are you currently working on?
Currently I am writing and posting poetry on my blog syl65.wordpress.com. I have been collaborating with writer and author Rebecca Scarberry (Jumper vol. 1&2, Rag Doll, Messages From Henry). Writing poems inspired by pictures from her farm and pictures of her cats. It has been really fun and refreshing to see what words will spring up with each photo.
How does your work differ from others of its genre?
I don’t quite know how my work differs. I try to write poetry that inspires and entertains. I want the reader coming away wondering how did I know what they were thinking or going through or to simply smile and have a good laugh.
Why do you write what you do?
I am a christian and I am thankful for what God has done for me. I am doing my best to share that same hope, encouragement, and faith with everyone. For me it is all about giving God my best, since he blessed me with the desire and talent to write.
How does your writing process work?
My writing process use to be from pen and notepad to typing. Now it’s more typing and posting. Plus I write with music playing. It really gets me going creative wise. Throw in an Almond Joy and I’m in writer’s heaven. A lot of my poems are right off the top of my head (if that’s possible). I might change a verse or word as I’m reading through. I just go with the flow of inspiration.
I have chosen these bloggers to come on the writing tour next! Just a few of the talented writers who inspire me:
