Softly Burning

Somewhere deep

In this quiet space in my heart

I keep this moment like an ember

Softly burning and never burning out

It lights a dream within a dream

Like a frame by frame picture show

When I am blessed with time from the daily grind

I sit and allow this ember to burn high

A fire in my heart you are

A flame from a candle in God’s eyes

I look through His eyes everyday

No day being ordinary

Everyday is a lesson learned

Patience is a slow burning candle

You are the flame, a light of wonder

And that wonder is the ember softly burning
