Real Thought Series: Fading Days

“Time moves so slowly. Or perhaps it doesn’t move at all and it is we who pass through it.”
Isabel Allende, Paula

Up at dawn

Sometimes beating the alarm

Life is waiting

Got to get to it

Whatever it is we do

Interacting with the universe

Surviving the physical joust with labor

The spirit desires freedom

The soul wants to undress from this physical form

The sun slowly falls to the other side of the earth

A new day to birth

My day begins to fade

There are times, I ask

Did I really live?

Or was I merely standing still?

  2. Beautifully written! 🙂

  3. “Whatever it is we do
    Interacting with the universe”
This is percisely what we do.
It took me a long time to figure this out.
It is not about us individually,
but us in connection with the greater.
    Your poem rocks.

  4. I have read and reread this post several times. I am still absorbing it. You challenge me to think bro, to reflect. What a gift your writing is. What a gift you are. HSHBLT

  5. Great questions to finish 🙂

  6. The mill of daily unfulfilling routines. Definitely a feeling like standing still. Very well conveyed. Time to live!

  7. Another great poem brother, it says exactly what you mean! Happy saturday!
