A Candle From God

As the story goes

She was from a garden of gold

Not of material substance

But a golden heart

Like a candle from God

Illuminating her surroundings

A torch of divine love

It is this light within her

A gateway to wholeheartedness

That I find my own heart

Completely illuminated

Completely whole

  1. Simply beautiful! The lovely spirit within your words touches my heart for I see His love alive within your spirit, your heart, and your soul. Here is a poem
that came to mind…as if you wrote it…I felt it as I read your words. God.

    Are You Not Love (God)

    I know you
    shall never leave
    my side for you
    always faithful

    I know as long as
    Your love lives within
    You will always be
    with me

    I know nothing can come
    between me and the glory
    of Your love

    For Your love surely
    overcomes all things
for are you not the most
    genuine of loves.

May God continue to bless you and your family!

  3. To call a woman a candle from God is the most wonderful sign of treasuring who she is, the most wonderful declaration of love. This is most beautiful, Syl! What a blessing! Thank you for sharing so much love through your poems with us.
