Rock Ballad of The Week: SIXX A.M. “Smile”

As the light, washes over the morning rise
You’re still asleep, and that’s all right
I can be still, cause you look so sweet
And beautiful, next to me

And all my life
I’ve been waiting for someone like you
To make me smile
You make me feel alive
And you’re giving me everything
I’ve ever wanted in life
You make me smile
And I forget to breathe
What’s an angel like you
Ever do with a devil like me

You make me smile
You make me smile
You make me smile
Smile

Still in bed, sun is beating down
In a hotel room, on the edge of town
Wake up baby, it’s three hundred miles to drive
And the truck-stop preacher, well he says God is on our side

And all my life
I’ve been waiting for someone like you
To make me smile
You make me feel alive
And you’re giving me everything
I’ve ever wanted in life
You make me smile
And I forget to breathe
What’s an angel like you
Ever do with a devil like me

You make me smile
Oh smile
You make me smile
Yeah

All my life
I’ve been waiting for someone like you
To make me smile
You make me feel alive
And you’re giving me everything
Everything I’ve ever needed in life
You make me smile
And I forget to breath
What’s an angel like you
Ever do with a devil like me

You make me smile
You make me smile
You make me smile
You make me smile
You make me smile

  1. This is definitely one of the most beautiful rock ballads. Inthink I’ll have to download it. Thank you sonmuch for sharing this fantastic song, Sylvester. Have a great day!

  2. I was a huge Motley Crue fan but wasn’t sure what to make of Sixx AM. I don’t think they are as good as Crue at their best but they’re starting to grow on me. It’s good there’s another rock band making new music on the radio in any case. It bothers me that they don’t have drummer though.

    1. Yeah, Motley Crue was one of my favorites. I only recently became aware of Sixx AM, have to give them more listening time. That is interesting, a power trio without a drummer. Thank you, Marissa!

      1. Yeah, well if you see their videos they all try to crowd in so it’s not so apparent there’s no drummer behind them but I think it looks kind of silly. I believe Taylor Hawkins played on their album. I don’t know why they don’t just get a drummer though. I’m sure they’d have musicians lining up.

      2. I will have to check out more of their videos. I wonder why they just have an in studio and different touring drummers instead of a permanent one? A questions for the rock gods..
