Poetry, creative writing and a desire to inspire….. Hebrews 11:1 – Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

What Mattered Most

She found a silent place in her mind

Silence from the mayhem

On the outside looking in

There was solace for her

“More to life on the outside,” she thought to herself

She wasn’t concerned about fitting in

She fit well within herself, what mattered most

I was a casual observer to her war within

But she knew I would go to war with her anytime

I was on the outside looking

We sat in silence

She knew I was there, what mattered most

  1. You said that beautifully, Syl! Nobody can walk a path for another person. But everybody can walk a path with another person…. what matters most…..

  2. You have to be yourself, and sometimes the hardest person to love is yourself, so a friend is always needed. Sounds like you’re a good one.

  3. It’s great to have support, as this gal feels… Great message in this poem, Syl!
