Death of A Sparrow

Crackling embers of soul’s delight

Broken free from this still life

*

Smoldering embers heats blood to a boil

In lackluster thoughts I no longer toil

*

Fiery embers in splendor rage

Quickly consume a rusted caged

*

Sparrow exits with singed wings

Eyes befall amazing things

*

For the sparrow has been transformed

Into a valiant eagle reborn

*

With a wing span of unlimited grace

A divine glow emits from its face

*

Continuously burning embers deep at the core

The spirit of new life lives forevermore
