Rock Ballad of the Week: John Lennon “Grow Old With Me”

[Verse 1]
Grow old along with me
The best is yet to be

When our time has come
We will be as one
God bless our love
God bless our love

[Verse 2]
Grow old along with me
Two branches of one tree
Face the setting Sun
When the day is done
God bless our love
God bless our love

[Bridge]
Spending our lives together
Man and wife together
World without end
World without end

[Verse 3]
Grow old along with me
Whatever fate decrees
We will see it through
For our love is true
God bless our love
God bless our love

John Winston Ono Lennon MBE (born John Winston Lennon, 9 October 1940 – 8 December 1980) was an English singer, songwriter and peace activist who gained worldwide fame as the founder, co-lead vocalist, and rhythm guitarist of the Beatles. His songwriting partnership with Paul McCartney remains the most successful in musical history.[3] In 1969, he started the Plastic Ono Band with his second wife, Yoko Ono. After the Beatles disbanded in 1970, Lennon continued as a solo artist and as Ono’s collaborator.
