#MondayThoughts – Setback You Say?

Is there really such a thing as a setback? Well, I guess it depends on your perspective and situation. Could a setback be a stepping stone that leads to a something greater?

Usually when we hit a roadblock we begin to either figure a way around it, turn backwards or give up all together. A setback is only a setback if you choose to be defeated. Other than that, it is an opportunity flex your perseverance muscle and find a way. I came across the quote “a setback is a setup for a comeback”. I read this quote several times and decided that there is only a comeback if I agree there was a setback. I rather choose that I am only being prepared and strengthen for something better than expected or hoped for. So, if I don’t give up then there is nothing to comeback from.

There are comebacks though. Comebacks from illness, personal lost, breakdowns and numerous other issues. The comeback is to a standard of living or surpassing it. I believe in possibilities, options, open doors and supernatural intervention. There is always a way, setbacks be damned!

  1. If its the destination, meant to be, there is always a detour, or a way to remove the blockage.
If not, nothing will move that barricade.
Then I guess, it’s up to you to decide whether to keep banging your head against a brick wall, or find the alternative route. Who knows? It might be more scenic!💜

    1. There is definitely a way even if it involves detours. We can always grab a sledgehammer and break that barricade down too! Thank you, Sister 🙏🏽💜

  2. There is no comeback without a setback. So, we need setbacks to remember who we can be, what we can be, or simply to generate powers in us we have not known before. The setbacks are necessary to grow out of ourselves.
