No superman cape or superhuman strength

Headphones on and music tantalizing my ears

Escapism to a melodic planet

Where the soul is unburdened from the human condition

Recalibrating peace with every song that sweeps through the ear drum

And paints lush portraits in my mind

More vivid than polaroids or Kodak moments

To be able to stand and hear the heart sing

The inner voice echoing throughout the world within

And that sometimes dimness from the outer world’s misbehaving

Fades away as I bring a piece of this peace back with me from my musical trek

There is no darkness in the valley

My smile is too bright as I watch the world go round
