#RomanticTuesday: Solace & Strength

“You are completely woven into the fabric of my soul.”

Photo by Artem Saranin from Pexels

Far deeper than words written. Far deeper than words spoken. You are the first and the last

Stars dreamed upon still shine bright

Hope that fills the heart still beats strong

Sometimes we stand on silent hills

To hear the whispering of our souls

Love is a refuge, a fortress

A source of solace and strength

Love is oneness sailing through the storm

Until the waters are calm

Clasp hands never becoming undone

#MondayThoughts: Slight Adjustments

“Life at anytime can become difficult; life at anytime can become easy. It all depends upon how one adjusts oneself to life. – Morarji Desai

Photo by Ammar Ahmed from Pexels

Let the good times roll

Let the bad times not visit often

A penny saved can become a pocket full of change

Sometimes too much loose change is hard to get rid of

Yet we strive and adjust

We adapt and adjust

Peacemakers feel the sting of rejection

But they try to maintain their steps

Are dead ends without a heartbeat?

Or is there a path waiting to see life?

Keep your spirit strong and do not let your faith wane

And one day you can sit back and laugh about it all

#ThoughtfulThursday: Level Up

You bring out the best in people when you trust them with a higher-vision of themselves. You keep them at lower-levels when you treat them like you see them with your physical eyes.

#RomanticTuesday: Your Fragrance

“Your voice always causes me to smile.”

Your fragrance is everywhere

Sometimes I have to stop and stare

To see if you are around

Nothing can compare

Thoughts of you take me higher

Way above the highest mountain’s peak

Feels like I’m touching a clear blue sky

My, my, my

How your fragrance speaks to me

So intimately

Blowing kisses to you, my dear

Your fragrance which embodies you

I feel so near

Disappearing in these thoughts of you

Smiling, as I am filled with fragrance of you

Rock Ballad of the Week: Bryan Adams “We Found What We Were Looking For”

We found our strength – we found our way at last
We found tomorrow – by building on our past
We paid our dues – we stick together – come whatever

We’re still standin’ – didn’t fall to pieces
Never lost our reason – never stopped believin’

We found our wings and now we fly above the wind
You and me – we found what we’re looking for

We gave it all – gave our very best
With every fall – we withstood the test
We broke the rules
Had to do it – to get thru it

We found our wings together we found everything
You and me – we found what we’re looking for
You made me shine – picked me up when I fell behind
With you – I never need to search no more

We’re still standin’ – didn’t fall to pieces
Never lost our reason – never stopped believin’
Ah never stopped – believin’

We found our wings and together we found everything
You and me – we found what we’re looking for
You made me shine picked me up when I fell behind
With you – I never need to search no more
You and me we found what we were looking for

#RomanticTuesday: Love’s Endless Depth (For You)

“You encompass the whole of life, the whole of love.”

Photo by Kat Jayne from Pexels

A defining moment, when I met you

Totally redefined the spectrum of my life

I thank God for His kindness

I thank you for being on the path where we would meet

Love has its roots deep within us

Its embrace is nurturing, reassuring

Love will always remain alive within us

I find strength in missing you

It brings me that much more closer to you

Nothing and no one can change my love for you

For you

With you

I will always be

#MondayThoughts: Facing Opposition

When they judge you, yawn.
When they misunderstand you, smile.
When they underestimate you, laugh.
When they condemn you, ignore.
When they envy you, rejoice.
When they oppose you, prevail.

-Matshona Dhliwayo

There are those with opposing views than your own. There are people and situations that may impede your progress. We can be pressed or pressured into giving up by whom or whatever opposes us. What we decide to do is our call and no one else’s.

Life can be a trip, with its peaks and lows. Sometimes it is a gold rush, other times it can be a rusty bucket. Regardless of the day and what gets in our way, we have to find our get up and go and keep going. We can face the opposition or we can do an about face. Just remember it is your call.

Stay inspired and keep rising.

Rock Ballad of the Week: Peter Gabriel “In Your Eyes”

Love I get so lost, sometimes
Days pass and this emptiness fills my heart
When I want to run away
I drive off in my car
But whichever way I go
I come back to the place you are

All my instincts, they return
And the grand facade, so soon will burn
Without a noise, without my pride
I reach out from the inside

In your eyes
The light the heat
In your eyes
I am complete
In your eyes
I see the doorway to a thousand churches
In your eyes
The resolution of all the fruitless searches
In your eyes
I see the light and the heat
In your eyes
Oh, I want to be that complete
I want to touch the light
The heat I see in your eyes

Love, I don’t like to see so much pain
So much wasted and this moment keeps slipping away
I get so tired of working so hard for our survival
I look to the time with you to keep me awake and alive

And all my instincts, they return
And the grand facade, so soon will burn
Without a noise, without my pride
I reach out from the inside

In your eyes
The light the heat
In your eyes
I am complete
In your eyes
I see the doorway to a thousand churches
In your eyes
The resolution of all the fruitless searches
In your eyes
I see the light and the heat
In your eyes
Oh, I want to be that complete
I want to touch the light,
The heat I see in your eyes
In your eyes, in your eyes
In your eyes, in your eyes
In your eyes, in your eyes
