#MondayThoughts: Never Accept There Is No Way

God always has a perfect way out for you where negativity says that there’s no way out. Relax and allow your heart to beat with faith and courage. You truly have a great God.

At times it looks like there is no way to go when you are faced with challenges. It seems the challenges only get harder as you go along. It can be disheartening and it’s only natural if you feel that way.

The most important thing is to never tell yourself that there is no way things will change or get better. The more you feed this thought to your mind, the more fatter the doubt will get until you are convinced there is no way and you are stuck as is.

Don’t allow your problems to keep your spirit down. We all have our ups and downs in life. There is always a way out, but you must strongly believe in your ability to persevere.

– Edmond Mbiaka

If you are set on doing something then there is always a way to get it done. Explore and exhaust every option. Giving up shouldn’t be on your list of options at all. Believe in what you want to do, remember why you are doing it and open yourself up to every opportunity that aids you in achieving your goal. Keep chipping away and chipping away. You WILL get there!

Stay inspired and keep rising.

#MondayThoughts: Trial By Fire

There are times when you are thrown into a situation and you learn as you go.

I can’t unfold tomorrow

Because I have to focus on today

In the middle of a pressure situation

I maintain my center of grace

Doing what I can with what I have

Little help at hand so my hands carry double

Thrown in unexpected situations

We must get in the trenches and fight through

No resentment, no anger, no bitterness

Just pump the heart with faith, hope and love

And do what needs to be done

#MondayThoughts: Turning Point

When you are faced with a challenge you reach a turning point. Either you turn and run away or you turn in the direction the challenge and meet it head on. – Syl

The odds may be against you. What you must face seems formidable. Sure, you can go into the opposite direction but then you live with that “what could have been” thought lingering in your mind.

We are capable of achieving great things when we set our mind, heart and spirit in motion as one. What looks impossible or what looks like an insurmountable task can be made possible or overcome. Do not short change yourself. We never need to settle for the path of least resistance. Every new day is an opportunity to rise above it all.

Stay inspired, rise on.

2. Do you like your handwriting?  I do like my handwriting which has become a combination of print and cursive. I try to keep it up but with technology and all it seems the keyboard is winning.

4. Longest relationship? 23 years

5. Do you still have your tonsils?  Yes, they are still there just hanging around.

Holding Up

When the fog clears

We will really see clearly

Just how we held each other up

Finding strength in the words we shared

We knew going in it wouldn’t be easy

The ever shifting winds have yet to blow us away

Seems they have only brought us closer

Passing Up On The Ride This Time

You are just here

The world steams along

And you’re sitting on the bench

Watching it pass by

Not waiting or wanting to ride

Heavy heat bares down on you

And it is not coming from the sun

The neck is stiff from holding your head up

You endure the pain because you don’t want to stoop to their level

The world can push and push you

I have no plot in the cemetery ready

So I turn away from the world

Stiff neck and all

For a while, I will enjoy the sun

The world, it just steams on by

Monday Motivation: Facing The Challenges

“Being challenged in life is inevitable, being defeated is optional.”
Roger Crawford

Life is filled with so many challenges and there are times when they seem to come back to back to back, non-stop. We can either fold up our tent and go home or we can stand our ground and meet every challenge head on. In this day and age, we have the resources and tools available to overcome just about any challenge presented towards. I am not naïve in thinking that there are certain challenges that present a higher degree of difficulty, such as certain illnesses and or conditions of living. My point is that we have a built in survival instinct mode that we have the option of turning on. The choice is yours!

Whatever challenges we face in life and there are a variety of them, we can decide whether to lay down and get bulldozed over, or we can choose to put forth our best effort to overcome any and every difficult situation. Allow everyday to be the day you decide to give yourself a chance at life and living the best possible life that you can achieve.

Don’t worry about statistics and what “they say”. Who are “they” anyway? Stay inspired! Believe in you! God does 24/7!
