Thoughtful Thursday: Failure

“Take chances, make mistakes. That’s how you grow. Pain nourishes your courage. You have to fail in order to practice being brave.” – Mary Tyler Moore

Take 2

I have tried and I have failed

Tried and fail

Sometimes not bothering to try

Afraid

Scared

Not thinking it was worth a try

Falsely detecting rejection

Once, at the point of hiding myself away

Fail-safe

God didn’t see things my way

His plan and purpose held a different story

“Don’t ever think less of yourself”

“There are enough fools in the world to do this for you,” His words are like fire

I thought I had reached my final act

That this was my life and that was that

God thought otherwise, very highly of me

Believing in me

And with that, I took to the stage again

God’s words of fire burning within

This is not the final act

But the first act, second take

New beginnings are God’s specialty
