Examining my hands
The works that I have done
And the things I have yet to construct
The scratches and scars
I hope that I have put them to good use
I hope they haven’t been destructive
There were times I was reluctant to use them
Kept them in my pockets
Examining my hands
At the end of the day
I hope they are still gentle enough to welcome you
And soft enough for you to hold

Oh, is that beautiful! Our hands have so many purposes but then again it simply is to give love with them in all we do. I think someone who has such thoughts has a lot of love to give!
